Walnut, Juglans Nigra
Walnut is light brown to dark chocolate brown, occasionally with a purplish cast and darker streaks.  Walnut develops a rich patina that grows more lustrous with age.  The wood is generally straight grained but some times displays wavy or curly grain patterns. 

 

FEATURES

Design:

  • Tapered from the top of the pick to the bottom, leaving adequate thickness to grab onto without have too much thickness at the tip
  • Laser engraved with the Acoustic Remedy logo on each side of the pick to provide some grip 
Sound and Feel:
Direct, transparent, bright and warm sound.  Provides a faster, more precise attack than regular picks. Finished with Danish Oil, which dampens usually more present highs from the woods slightly, so the sound is slightly closer to usual picks than totally untreated wood or the open-pore finished picks. 
Stiffness Profile:
Similar to a .75mm pick, which is considered a medium gauge pick.  At this thickness it's ideal for strumming and picking alike.
